"The situation is completely under control and there is no need to panic".

After taking a review meeting here, Health Secretary P.K. Meherda assured that the government is taking all possible steps to tackle swine flu and dengue outbreak in the state. "The Health department has been taking adequate measures to create awareness on the killer ailment. Most of the swine flu cases reported in Odisha are migration cases", said Meherda.

Reports said that the number of dengue patients is on the rise the state while most of the cases have been referred from Bhadrak and Balasore districts. A person undergoing treatment at SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack succumbed to Swine flu late last night, informed the swine flu nodal office of the hospital.

He said the hospital since March this year has tested blood samples of at least 2,754 patients, out of which 242 cases were found to be dengue-positive so far.
