After much ado and controversies the Centre finally chose to sack Pahlaj Nihalani as the chairperson of the Central Board of Film Certification five months before his term could come to an end. We are doing our work and you do your own work.

Joshi is known for his contribution to films like "Black", "Taare Zameen Par", "Bhaag Milkha Bhaag", "Rang De Basanti", "Delhi-6" and "Neerja" and for designing successful ad campaigns. CBFC headed by Pahlaj Nihalani after denying certification for nearly six months, demanded chopping off 27 scenes from the film. In the past, he called PM Narendra Modi his "action hero".
