Army' to deploy robots to fight militants in Kashmir: Report

Fresh firing erupted today at the encounter site in Shopian district of south Kashmir, where three militants were killed this morning, police said. Three AK-47 rifles were recovered from their possession.

A police official told news agency PTI that militants opened fire at the security forces while they were conducting searches.

Injured soldiers were rushed to the 92 Base Hospital of the Army for treatment, where two of them died.

Security forces had laid a cordon in the area following a tip-off to the local police.
