Fans meet annually for the Gathering of the Juggalos.

With its extravagantly dressed participants, many adorned with tattoos and piercings, the "Juggalo March" was an offbeat addition to the regular political rallies staged in the capital.

There's also a competing "Mother of All Rallies" rally on the Mall, too, with supporters of President Donald Trump rallying, though that's set to begin at another site, earlier in the day.

The organizers of the pro-Trump rally had said that was their goal - to speak in favor of the President amicably, without a hint of the hatred and violence that gripped Charlottesville, Virginia, last month when white supremacists marched in protest of the removal of a statue of Confederate Gen. Robert E. Lee from a city park.

Liverpool fan tears into Jurgen Klopp
Jurgen Klopp says he's angry with aspects of Liverpool's performance and that their 1-1 draw with Burnley is hard to accept. Instead Liverpool were left to rue the absence of the suspended Sadio Mane and the eighth goal they conceded in eight days.

Meanwhile, the Juggalo March appeared to have more attendees.

In 2011, juggalos, the name fans of the rap group are known as, were branded as a "loosely organized hybrid gang" by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Both sides were dwarfed by the juggalos, as supporters of the rap group Insane Clown Posse are known. In 2011, they classified Juggalos as a "loosely-organized hybrid gang" putting them in the same category as groups like the Bloods and Crips". Juggalos, in tandem with the American Civil Liberties Union, sued the government in 2014, claiming Juggalos' "constitutional rights to expression and association were violated" by the FBI's classification. The case has been stalled there for years, getting kicked out, victorious on appeal, then kicked out again. How are we gonna legally, peacefully, reach these people? "However, open source reporting suggests that a small number of Juggalos are forming more organized subsets and engaging in more gang-like criminal activity, such as felony assaults, thefts, robberies, and drug sales".

"The Juggalo Family must truly shine and show America and the world that we are not a gang, public menace, cult, or any of the other untrue labels they have attempted to slap on us throughout the years".

"We are taking out [sic] fight to the streets".

The move followed a string of crimes from arson to homicide that were committed by people who were identified as Juggalos over the previous five or six years.

By the accounts of reporters from NPR and WAMUpresent on the National Mall, the crowds at all three events were enthusiastic but modest in size.

While both events have explicitly urged participants in their codes of conduct to not use violence during their respective gatherings, the fear of possible clashes has grown in the wake of the violent Charlottesville, Virginia, demonstrations where a young woman was killed when a vehicle plowed into a group of people protesting a white nationalist rally. However, based on accounts from the scene, that rally turned out to be something of a dud.

It appears Watson - who now plays for the Houston Texans - may have gotten the last laugh here. "It's another big game". Still, Kelly Bryant , the Tigers' first-year starting quarterback, is going on the road for the first time .

Nevertheless, as NPR's Windsor Johnston reported, some counterprotesters attempted to tie the MOAR rally to Charlottesville, including one who held a sign featuring an image of the woman killed by a motorist there.
