A new report from the Investor claims that Apple has chosen LG to manufacture future foldable displays for them.

According to The Bell on October 11, LG Display recently created a task force to develop a foldable OLED screen for the new iPhone model, while its parts-making sister firm LG Innotek has also setup a team dedicated to developing the rigid flexible printed circuit board, more widely called RFPCB.

Cupertino is allegedly partnering with LG on foldable display technology for a future iPhone.

Turkish, US Officials to meet to resolve dispute - Deputy PM
Tillerson expressed his "profound concern" about the arrests, the US State Department said in a statement. Turkey retaliated by halting visas services in the United States.

That's according to The Bell, a news outlet in Korea, as translated by The Investor. In case you aren't aware, Kuo is widely regarded as a credible source for all things Apple. Some sources claim that Apple might invest in the new plant that LG is setting up to beef up the OLED panel production but the detail regarding this is scarce for now. Since the first prototype was created, the display maker has reportedly been improving its yield rate and the durability of the panels.

As The Verge points out, Kuo previously mentioned that 2018 iPhones (non-X units) would have the face recognition feature if the fledgling tech becomes a huge success this year.

A display which folds completely in half could see a new generation of smartphones which fold open to the size of small tablets, although it is yet to be seen if such a mechanism would be compact and attractive enough for Apple's notoriously high standards.

Thailand bans smoking on tourist beaches
The measure will be presented October 22-23 during a summit of ASEAN countries about marine debris to be held in Phuket province. Thailand is initially implementing the ban on 20 beaches but said that if successful the measure could be uniformly adopted.

Apple and Samsung are both making money off the iPhone X. It might seem absurd, but it is true. On average, equities analysts expect that Apple will post $9.01 EPS for the current fiscal year. On the other hand, Samsung is already ahead in the foldable phone race.

78 percent of teens surveyed own an iPhone, up two percent from the spring 2017 survey conducted earlier this year. This could also happen with the foldable iPhone. Feel free to sound off in the comments section below!
