Samsung appoints new executive for Bixby development

The department is basically in charge of developing Bixby and other artificial intelligence services.

Samsung isn't ready to give up on its personal assistant, though, and it has doubled down on an effort to breathe new life into Bixby.

Before Chung joined Samsung in 2011, he worked for Ericsson and is credited for being the software expert behind Samsung Pay as well as the software security Knox.

Keenum Likely to Start at QB vs. Green Bay
The Packers are hopeful to have left offensive tackle David Bakhtiari back for this game for the first time since opening week. What exactly does Rodgers do to get out of the pocket? Too bad, because there's no reason to trust the Packers defense so far.

Samsung might have removed Rhee as the head of Bixby's development because of the digital assistant's negative response from users as well as tech critics.

Since 2015, Chung has been the head of Samsung Research America's solution lab and mobile platform.

Korea Herald reportedly reported that the improved version of Bixby will finally have a third party support so it can be used by products other than the tech firm's flagship smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy S8 and the Samsung Galaxy S8 Plus.

The immigrants also challenged their deportation on grounds of violation of worldwide human rights conventions. However, a plea filed eminent citizens of the country has challenged the government's decision.

Comparing to other existing virtual assistants such as Google Assistant and Siri, Bixby is not really performing up to par with its rivals. Samsung even launched an update that can disable and turn off the dedicated button of its digital assistant.

Not a lot is known about Bixby 2.0 as of the moment, although it's being said that Samsung's take two on a virtual assistant would allow for integration with third-party products and services like smart TVs and speakers. The virtual assistant was recently made available globally with over 200 countries including India.

We're hoping it will be unveiled at the tech giant's Developer Conference happening this October 18 in San Francisco.

President Jacob Zuma's fate now rests in the hands of the National Prosecuting Authority and its boss Shaun Abrahams. This means the NPA should immediately reinstate charges of fraud and corruption against Zuma.

Bixby arrived with the Galaxy S8 handsets, but wasn't complete upon the model's launch for many users. Samsung phones like the Galaxy S8 that support Bixby will be able to take pictures, identify objects, and provide context to images using Bixby.
