Epic Sues Two Fortnite Cheaters

Fortnite Battle Royale hits 525,000 concurrent players with 3.7m daily active users

"To start, addressing cheaters in Fortnite is the highest priority across Epic Games", said Epic community coordinator Nathan Mooney in a statement on October 4.

A report from TorrentFreak suggests the Fortnite developer has filed at least two lawsuits against two of its most notorious cheaters. Fortnite cheating became epidemic following the release of the free Battle Royale multiplayer mode.

Fortnite's new Battle Royale variant has only been around for a couple of weeks, but Epic Games took to Twitter yesterday to announce that the mode has already hit 525,000 concurrent players.

Video captures Florida doctor screaming at patient for complaining about wait
Stipe's video of the entire incident has been viewed more than 373,000 times on Facebook since Monday, as of Thursday afternoon. During the incident in the waiting room, Gallogly charges toward Stipe, shouting and jabbing a pointed finger toward her face.

One defendant was banned from Fortnite nine times, according to the complaint, but he registered other accounts under different names to continue playing.

Two players referred to as Mr. Broom and Mr. Vraspir are accused of violating the terms of service and End User License Agreement by cheating in Battle Royale. Additionally, the complaint against Broom lists circumvention of technological measures in violation of the Digital Millennium Copy Right Act.

"Nobody likes a cheater", the document reads.

Swiss authorities open proceedings against PSG chief over World Cup rights
Al-Khelaifi and Valcke previously worked on a deal for the 2018 and 2022 rights weeks after Qatar won the 2022 hosting vote. The case involves the award of broadcast rights for the next four World Cups from 2018 through 2030.

The pair have been linked to a cheat provider, acting as moderators on a site that assists players in using exploits.

Both defendants are apparently associated with a website that specifically aids cheaters and are facing up to $150,000 in charges for statutory damages if convicted. These axioms are particularly true in this case. "As Defendant intends, this often ruins the game for the other players, and for the many people who watch "streamers".

As it turns out, one of those steps involves legal action.

College Kids Can Now Use Amazon Prime at a Steep Discount
But if they do pay for Prime, teens will also get access to free shipping, streaming video and Prime's other perks. Amazon has announced a new service that will open up its gargantuan ecommerce platform to millions more teenagers.

Other companies like Blizzard and Riot Games have also pursued litigation against cheaters to varying degrees of success, and Epic Games' is just the latest in this regard.
