Equifax Website Hacked Again

Previously, people could access the page under the "Credit Report Assistance" heading. Equifax says it took the page down "out of an abundance of caution" as it investigates.

The latest cyber issue has emerged just five weeks.

An independent security analyst reportedly found on Wednesday that the company's website was attacked by hackers who attempted to install fraudulent Adobe Flash updates created to infect computers with malware, according to Ars Technica.

"So we'll see what happens with Nafta, but I've been opposed to Nafta for a long time, in terms of the fairness of Nafta". Chamber of Commerce has warned against so-called "poison pill" proposals by the U.S., including the sunset clause.

The company, which gathers data on consumers for credit inquiries, has blamed a combination of human and technical error for the massive breach - not the largest on record but potentially the most damaging because of the sensitive financial information on consumers it holds in its databases.

Hackers reportedly altered Equifax's credit report assistance page that would send users malicious software pretending to be Adobe Flash.

The breach led to the retirement of Equifax chief executive Richard Smith, who has remained as a consultant to the company during the investigation. However, since the breach was reported earlier this year, Equifax has proven again and again that it isn't even capable of that.
