Pakistan's Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif has denounced Indian Army Chief Gen. Bipin Rawat's remarks as "irresponsible" and he vowed to expose "Pakistan's nuclear bogey" in the event of a war between the two countries.

"Army chief should confine his role to security related issues and not make unnecessary comments beyond his constitutional mandate and domain", Bukhari told reporters on sidelines of a function at a school, here today.

"The army chief is a well-respected and decorated officer". He is a professional, and there is no doubt on his professionalism.

The firing took place in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district around 2 pm and lasted for 15 minutes.

General Bipin Rawat had on Friday while addressing the press in the run-up to the Army Day had said that Pakistan's nuclear bogey will be thoroughly exposed if the situation escalates to a war. "Pakistan is fully capable of defending itself", he warned. "This being a subject on state list, we know how to run our education system", said Bukhari. "Every school has a state map as it is needed to teach about the state". "We have our own education system and we will fix our own problems, if any".

This all comes after Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Major General Asif Ghafoor reacted to Gen. Rawat's statement and said such statements were unbecoming of a person of his stature.

"Perhaps the people who are giving comments on how we should run education sector are not doing their job properly and that's why we are suffering", said Bukhari.

He said the army has its job they should focus on it. I would be glad that if they will do what they are supposed to do and leave us to do what we are supposed to do.
