US tech giant picks UAE for first Middle East data hubs

Microsoft on Wednesday announced that it will be launching two data centres in the UAE - its first in the Middle East region - which will be operational in early 2019. Microsoft can thereby provide data residency in Switzerland to support Swiss companies and institutions, including the financial services industry, in the next steps of their digital transformation.
