Three Men Arrested On Gun Charges Are Now Suspects In The Minnesota Mosque Bombing

McWhorter allegedly admitted his involvement in bombing the mosque and the attempt on the women's clinic, and told investigators that each of the three men had specific roles in the attack.

McWhorter allegedly also conceded the men's participation in an attack on an abortion clinic by throwing a similar pipe bomb through a window where it failed to go off, preventing any damage. The men arrested and charged are: Michael B. Hari, 47; Joe Morris, 22; Michael McWhorter, 29; and, Ellis Mack, 18, all of Clarence, a rural community approximately 35 miles north of Champaign-Urbana, according to information from the Department of Justice, United States Attorney John E. Childress, Central District of IL. According to the affidavit, law enforcement agents have gathered evidence to indicate that Hari, McWhorter and Morris were responsible for the bombing of a mosque in Bloomington, Minn., on August 5, 2017, and the attempted bombing of the Women's Health Practice in Champaign, on November 7, 2017. McWhorter will make his initial appearance in connection with the attempted IL bombing at a later date. All are from Clarence, a rural community 35 miles north of Champaign-Urbana.

Each of the men has been charged with arson in connection with the mosque bombing.
