As Ant faced his verdict at Wimbledon Magistrates Court on Monday, it emerged that he was twice the legal limit when he crashed with his mum Christine Woodhall in the vehicle.

He was originally scheduled to appear in court on 4 April, however, his hearing was adjourned.

Prosecutor Katie Sinnett-Jones told the court McPartlin was driving around a "sharp bend and lost control" during the crash as he collided with another Mini Cooper before driving, according to Sinnett Jones, "straight into the front of an oncoming car".

McPartlin, who was charged following a collision in Richmond, London last month, was breath-tested at the scene and found to be more than twice the legal drink-drive limit.

The CDC, however, has said that "no grower, supplier, distributor, or brand has been identified" as the source at this time. Twenty-two hospitalizations have occurred as a result of the outbreak, though luckily no deaths have been reported.

After pleading guilty to drink-driving, Ant McPartlin has been fined £86,000 and disqualified from driving for 20 months.

The driver of one, reading a witness statement, said that his vehicle "came round the corner like a rocket".

The driver of the other Mini said afterwards that he thought he and his family were going to die in the collision.

His breathalyser reading was 75mcg of alcohol per 100ml of breath - the legal limit is 35 mcg. The legal limit in the United Kingdom is 35mg per 100ml of breath.

'I accept full culpability for this and wish to apologise to all those concerned'.

At this point, Freeman was interrupted by the crash but - clearly a professional - she carried on, adding: "Excuse me, sorry, it's just some cars have had a bit of a crash behind us there".

Ant has stepped away from all of his television roles since the accident in March, however, prerecorded episodes of Britain's Got Talent that Ant featured in will air as planned.
