ESPN's subscription streaming service ESPN+ arrives today.

According to ESPN's official statement, ESPN+ is a "direct-to-consumer subscription streaming service from Disney Direct-to-Consumer and worldwide in partnership with ESPN and featuring ESPN branded content". Additional live sports will be part of ESPN+, but there will be no National Basketball Association or NFL games seen on the streaming service.

The Verge says the app's video carousel is "finally putting in real effort to wrangle everything and surface what it thinks you'll like based on your team and sport interests".

Decisions will be made "fairly soon", Trump said , adding: "It's too bad that the world puts us in a position like that". Trump's national security team huddled at the White House on Wednesday to discuss the response to Syria .

After a weeklong free trial, ESPN+ is $4.99/month or $49.99 annually. (So: No NFL, no NBA.) That sets it apart from other TV network streaming services, like those from HBO and Showtime, which essentially unlock all the same programming a traditional TV subscriber gets.

ESPN launched a new streaming service Thursday, but what exactly is ESPN+, and is it worth signing up for? The standalone subscription service, called ESPN+, offers Major League Baseball and NHL games, other sports like golf, cricket and rugby, the network's library of 30 for 30 documentaries and original programming like a Kobe Bryant-hosted basketball analysis show.

Subscribers will get access to more than 10,000 live sporting events on ESPN+ that are not shown on TV.

While Disney and ESPN have been previewing ESPN+ for a while now, and released numerous content details last week, they also brought reporters to ESPN's Bristol, Connecticut headquarters to lay out their vision and show off the app. There's also Kobe Bryant's new basketball analysis show "Detail", which premieres just in time for the NBA playoffs. All of those companies sell packages that include ESPN's TV channels. The home feed balances what is important to each individual fan and the most important and compelling content that ESPN knows sports fans need.

What events can I watch, exactly?

"We spent a good deal of time on personalization - getting the right content to the right consumer at the right time", he said. It is available online at CBSSports.com, via the CBS Sports mobile app for iOS and Android, and OTT via the CBS Sports app for connected TV devices including Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku as well as the CBS All Access subscription service.
