NC farm recalls 200 million eggs

IN farmers have issued a warning after at least 22 people have fallen ill.

Check your eggs! There's a massive recall of 200 million eggs over fears of salmonella.

According to the FDA, 22 illnesses have been reported as a result of the eggs to date.

Joseph Dunford, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, also confirmed that there were no further strikes in the pipeline. The United States reportedly notified Israel of missile strikes against Syria in advance .

Those with recalled eggs should toss them or return them to the place of purchase for a refund. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) is involved in an investigation that has included an inspection of the facility and interviews of the victims. Those states include Florida, Colorado, New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and West Virginia.

The eggs were packaged and sold under several brand names including, but not limited to, Country Daybreak, Food Lion, Sunshine Farms, Crystal Farms, and Great Value. Symptoms include fever, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting and abdominal pain.

Salmonella is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and others with weakened immune systems.

Chickens can pass the bacteria to eggs because the eggs leave hens through the same passageway as feces.

In 2010, a salmonella outbreak sickened hundreds and led to the recall of half a billion eggs.
