Late in March, Apple hosted the Creative Education event in Chicago to unveil the new 9.7-inch iPad with support for Apple Pencil. The new model is now available for pre-order in India via Flipkart. It also confirmed that these will be hitting the Indian shelves in April (this month) at a starting price of Rs 28,000. It also comes with Touch ID fingerprint sensor. The major design overhaul in the upcoming iPad Pro was already teased by an earlier version of the iOS 11.3 beta. It's cheaper, more powerful, and offers stylus support - plus it's the only one Apple's selling now, so you don't really have a choice if you want to buy direct from Apple (which we generally recommend to their various customer support programmes). Also, the latest iPad can be purchased in either Wi-Fi only or 4G LTE options. But ahead of its official availability through Apple Authorised Resellers, Flipkart has opened the pre-order window for the iPad (2018) in Silver, Gold, and Space Gray colour options.

Talking about specifications, the new iPad flaunts a 9.7-inch Retina display running at a resolution of 2048×1536 pixels, and a pixel density of 264ppi.

Even the hugely-popular IPL cricket matches have been shifted out of Chennai to Pune in view of the disturbances on Tuesday. The idea was proposed by DMK working president MK Stalin.

To ensure smooth performance, the iPad (2018) runs on an A10 Fusion chip with an embedded M10 coprocessor. It comes with either 32 GB/ 128 GB of non-expandable storage. The 9.7 inch iPad has an 8-megapixel rear autofocus camera that can record full HD videos, 120 fps slow motion videos, time-lapse videos with stabilisation, and has 3x video zoom feature. At the front, there's a 1.2-megapixel HD FaceTime HD camera with f/2.2 aperture. Both the iPads come with dual band Wi-Fi and HT80 with MIMO and Bluetooth 4.2. Apple is promising up to 10 hours of battery life with the new iPad. Interestingly, Flipkart is offering some offers on the latest iPads including No Cost EMIs, up to Rs 16,000 off on exchange and extra 5 percent off with Axis Bank Buzz Credit Card.

Chinese baby born four years after parents' death in vehicle crash
Parents Shen Jie and Liu Xi froze several embryos with the intent of having a child through in vitro fertilization (IVF) in 2013. A baby boy has been born in China to a surrogate mother more than four years after the death of his parents in a vehicle crash.

The device starts at an Apple retail price of £319 for the 32GB model with Wi-Fi only, and £449 for the 32GB Wi-Fi and cellular model. The processor boost alone probably isn't worth shelling out for a new iPad, but being able to take notes and all the other functionality that the Apple Pencil (and other digital pens) brings might well be for you too. The 128GB Wi-Fi-only model, meanwhile, costs £409, and the 128GB model with Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity is available for £539.
