Sea of Thieves content updates

Sea of Thieves design director Mike Chapman and executive producer Joe Neate talked about the development roadmap for the game in a new video and how Rare plans new "ways to enrich the world" and deliver "things that surprise you". It's due in May and will introduce a "new AI threat" to the game that will "encourage players to interact in different ways" and "bring crews together" in new ways. It sounds like Sea of Thieves fans will need to wait to find out what this new threat will be, but Rare says it will require that players, or teams of players will need to work together to uncover it.

The additional content will come via weekly events, the first of which goes live in May and is called The Hungering Deep. The former is expected to introduce a new ship type and the latter will open the map up even further, revealing a new perilous part of the world to set sail to.

Three more major content updates will arrive in the fall and winter for Sea of Thieves.

Semenya wins 800m gold at Commonwealth Games
New Zealand beat India 3-2 to advance to the men's field hockey final against Australia, which defeated England 2-1. In the end, though, Jamaican Danniel Thomas-Dodd produced a shot of 19.36 to win the gold.

Rare is also planning weekly events that offer new challenges and time-limited exclusive rewards, like hidden treasure, for exploring the world.

Another new AI threat will be added to the summer content updated, titled Cursed Sails.

The Sky Sports app, available to download on iOS and Android devices, will also be providing live text coverage and updates. Credit to KXIP skipper R Ashwin who sensed that the wicket was slightly on the slower side and opted for spin straightaway.

This first update will add a new AI threat into the game. That'll arrive in May, followed by weekly events with "new ways to play".

oOur content plans will continue to grow and evolve, based on feedback from our players. The water looks incredible, sailing is fun, but outside of those two things many have found the game to be lacking. Unfortunately, new features such as Pets and Ship Captaincy have now been delayed, but they're still in the pipeline. "Expect our plans to continue to be fluid, but always with the goals listed above as our guiding principles".

While these updates still seem somewhat sparse, it's great to see that Microsoft is working towards responding to most of Sea of Thieves early criticism.
