President Trump's attorneys are asking a federal judge to temporarily bar investigators from reviewing materials taken from the office of Trump's personal lawyer Michael Cohen. He is one of three clients of Cohen's in the past year.

The White House has consistently said Trump denies the affair and Cohen has held that he made the payment out of his own pocket, without involvement from the Trump Organization or the Trump campaign.

Lawyers for Cohen filed papers Monday saying investigators "took everything" during the raids, including more than a dozen electronic devices.

Trump's attorneys argue that he and Cohen should not have to rely on the government's "clean team" to review the documents to protect his privilege, as he has "a unique interest in ensuring that every privileged item is fully protected from improper disclosure". Trump joined the effort.

Daniels attended the hearing and addressed reporters after it was over.

Pacers upset Cavs in game 1
The game went to overtime following a wild finish in regulation that included back-to-back three-pointers in the closing seconds. Head to head, the Pacers are 5-1 ATS in the last six meetings in Cleveland and 14-5-1 ATS in the last 20 meetings overall.

The next phase is a battle over the procedures involving who may review the materials seized by FBI investigators last week.

But Judge Kimba Wood said she might appoint an independent lawyer to review the trove of records to find those protected by attorney-client privilege - possibly with a specific remit of checking documents related to the president. That issue was front and center as the 2.5-hour hearing opened in Manhattan federal court.

Michael Cohen, President Donald Trump's personal attorney, arrives at federal court, Monday, April 16, 2018, in NY. After pausing for a few seconds, Wood finally said, "That's not enough under the law".

After a lengthy back-and-forth, the judge ordered Cohen's lawyers to identify the third client, who Ryan said had asked to remain confidential, and was told it was Fox News host Sean Hannity. Gasps could be heard echoing throughout Wood's stately, large courtroom.

When Wood questioned Cohen's attorneys as to the legal ground for withholding the individual's name, they said he had asked Cohen to do so over the weekend, and that Cohen had a responsibility toward his client. Her attorney, who was also present, did not speak during the hearing. In a tweet, Hannity said it was "almost exclusively about real estate". I never retained him, received an invoice, or paid legal fees.

"I've known Michael for a long time and let me be very clear to the media, Michael never represented me in any matter".

The Hannity revelation came early in the hearing, which was held amid an nearly circus-like atmosphere.

One was Trump himself.

Cohen arranged for a payment of $130,000 to Daniels in what Avenatti said was in exchange for a nondisclosure agreement related to a sexual encounter with Trump before the 2016 election.

But according to Avenatti, Hannity's involvement only supports his case.

Cohen did not appear to notice when Daniels first walked into the courtroom. "That ends now", she added. Harrison credulously argued-or attempted to argue-that were Sean Hannity's name revealed, people might stop hiring attorneys.

The adult actress, who wore a blush pink suit, was mobbed by cameramen and reporters as she arrived at Manhattan federal courthouse, with a minder forced to tell them "Be careful guys" as she nearly fell to the ground.

"Last Monday both Mr. Cohen and President Trump made inflammatory comments about this case". He has played by a different set of rules, or, should we say, no rules at all. He has never thought that the little man or especially women - and even more, women like me - mattered. They acknowledged that the investigation was referred by special counsel Robert Mueller, who is looking into Russian interference in the 2016 USA presidential election, but was being conducted by the US attorney's office in Manhattan.

Trump's personal lawyer coughs up name of mystery client: Sean Hannity
Reports at the time said the raid was personally approved by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. After being told by Wood that the name had to be revealed, Harrison said Hannity's name out loud.

President Donald Trump suffered a setback as a federal judge rejected his initial request to keep prosecutors from reviewing evidence seized last week from his longtime personal lawyer.
